Recordings and personal content
Audio recordings, titles, transcripts, transcript edits, summaries, tags, and search terms are stored locally on your device. TypePaw does not provide an account, cloud sync, or a server that receives this content.
Deleting a tape removes its associated local audio and text data. Removing the app may also remove locally stored data according to iOS behavior.
Speech and Apple Intelligence
Transcription uses Apple on-device Speech resources installed for the selected language. Optional liner notes use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models only when you request them and the device and language are supported.
If a model is unavailable, TypePaw keeps the audio and shows the reason. It does not send the recording to a cloud transcription fallback.
Diagnostics and product interaction
Release builds may use Firebase Analytics for content-free product interaction events and Firebase Crashlytics for crash and diagnostic information. TypePaw does not place tape titles, transcripts, search terms, audio paths, or audio files in these events.
Apple’s privacy manifest declares unlinked product-interaction data for analytics and unlinked crash data for app functionality.
Advertising and consent
App Store builds may show Google AdMob interstitial ads after a successful tape save, subject to frequency limits and Google User Messaging Platform consent. TypePaw requests non-personalized ads and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
The privacy manifest declares unlinked advertising data for third-party advertising. TypePaw declares no tracking domains and does not use this data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
